Please be praying for all parties concerned in the Riverview casino battle:  the St. Louis County Council, MO Gaming Commission, The Common Sense Coalition, and North County Development LLC. With rezoning completed, there are still several hurdles that can stop NCD in its tracks. The anti-casino Coalition is made up of concerned citizens, businesses, resident associations, and environmentalists. Pray that the county will be sensible and realize that their responsibility is not just economic, but also moral and social. Pray for a stirring of conscience.  For the Gaming Commission, they are theoretically to represent the state of MO and the welfare of Missourians. God can move on their hearts to do this if His people will pray and act. Commission leadership MUST reflect these priorities rather than solely economic interests. The casino lobby is very strong and well-funded, but there is a power greater than money! The  stronghold can be broken with effectual, fervent prayer (James 5:16).  Pray for the Coalition to operate, promote, and speak with conviction, clarity, and consistent determination. We must pray and we also must act. Write letters, emails, make phone calls, show up at rallies and meetings, and talk to your neighbors, friends, and government representatives. Take action, Missouri! Your St. Louis neighbors need your prayers and support right now!
