Reformation Day more important than Halloween

It is too bad that Halloween gets all the press and Reformation Day is left in the dust of kids’ costumed pursuit for candy. Instead of going door-to-door, we should stop at the Whittenburg Door and thank Martin Luther for his courageous stand against the unscrupulous practice of indulgences and for uplifting the truth that the just shall live by faith. The American church needs reformation again today, and more than that, it needs repentance and revival. It needs to become God’s church once again. We should thank God for what Luther gave us. Do something different this Halloween…give rather than get. Take 9 minutes and watch the flames of reformation re-ignite:
