Rice: An outrageous in-your-face appointment

Obama and RiceRemember how quickly Ambassador Susan Rice’s name was pulled from the Sec. of State appointment short list? It was all because of the Benghazi response debacle. Well, apparently the White House is quickly closing ranks as the President announces Rice’s appointment as the new national security adviser–an appointment that requires no Senate confirmation. This should be interesting. As the president begins to “hunker in the bunker” with his closest confidants, you can be sure the posts, columns, and news reports will be fast and furiously flying overhead. Rice is cool and calculated–a tried and tested tool in the Obama arsenal. But will she be allowed in public? Remember Joe Biden?–You know, the VP?–Mr. Loose Lips himself.

National Public Radio is reporting the “Five Takeaways” of the appointment:

Read the article if you want a good laugh. As far as I am concerned, you can take away the takeaways. The president values loyalty over the truth, but the truth may explode all over him this time, for the GOP will not be the only ones lobbing grenades at the bunker. And the press will have a hay-day when Rice comes into the spotlight…that is, if she comes out of the bunker at all. Remember, this outrageous fiasco following the September 11, 2012 terrorist murders was well before the November election…well before, well contained and concealed, and well overshadowed (as it is now) by other issues–and Ambassador Rice was smack dab in the middle of it all. She will not come out this unscathed and neither should the president.

Remember what the Hebrew prophets said to their national leaders: “Be sure your sins will find you out,” and “Thou art the man.”

    Dear Iron Pen:
Once more, our family thanks you for the courage to write the Truth.
Sadly, history teaches us that “wrong” politics is the scourge of good government.
However, “right” politics brings about statesmanship and sound government. Hence,
the founding of our precious nation. And, there is but One Who is the Source for that.
