An open letter to the Supreme Court of the United States:

May 6, 2015

Dear Justices,

The high court has embarked on a journey of decision over the redefinition of marriage. I think it to be very unwise. Alongside all the Biblical and moral statutes of time immemorial,  is the simple truth that marriage has always been defined as a unity of one man and one woman. In hopes of bringing clarity, here is my main thought to you for your deliberations:

There is no such thing as “marriage discrimination.” 100% of men are free to marry a woman, and 100% of women are free to marry a man. There is absolutely no discrimination here.

My advice to the court? Plead “the Tenth!” The matter is out of your jurisdiction (and probably above your pay grade).

Respectfully,

Daniel F. Hite
